“Six yards of timeless fashion will grace the New York runway”
The first edition of this fashion extravaganza saw established and new designers showcase their best to the Indian diaspora, debuting in New York City.
Bringing Indian Chic to the World
What’s Haute and What’s Hot
Lisa Ray brought the story of her fight against cancer to the world in her “Ray of Hope” line, inspired by Satya Paul. Joy Mitra teleported the audience into the evergreen energy of old Calcutta with his “Chokher Bali” collection, that saw Soha Ali Khan grace the ramp as the showstopper.
The rampshow was preceded by modern dancers recreating the battle between good and evil, symbolising the eternal human condition, used here as a metaphor for Ray’s
spirited battle against disease.
